Greece Lightning!

We were a tad bit skeptical to go to Greece knowing the turmoil the Greek people were going through. Our preconceived notions were far from wrong. The experience blew us away with beautiful views of 3000 year old buildings, delicious, and I mean DELICIOUS cuisine, and genuine locals who wanted to show us a part of Greece we may not have seen on our own. For the full day we were there we saw a lot and enjoyed it very much!

We were not expecting a meal on the plane ride over so I had to take a picture

I'd say we were true backpackers...lived out of that thing for five and a half weeks
Kitchen in our hostel room!
Settling in

Tzatziki and Bread
Greek salad
 Mousaka

Heading to a really awesome rooftop bar

Yep! We were able to see the Acropolis from the bar!

There were stray dogs everywhere!
 They still do performances here

Acropolis!
 Overlooking Athens

I thought this toilet flushed pretty cool
 W.C.'s instead of 'restroom'
It seemed every place in Europe had a steep spiral staircase leading to the W.C
On our way to the Mediterranean!

 Pebbles instead of sand
Pebbled feet
 Jess writing in her journal
Stray kitties too...Rebec's feeding our buddy leftovers from dinner

Once we got to Athens it. was. hot! Tanya and Rebec decided to ship home cooler weather clothes to make some room in their backpacks
 Greek coffee
And onto the next....Rome, Italy!
